New House Tour Part 4

Ready to see more house? Good. Today we are going to take a look at our small hallway and half bathroom. Remember this arched doorway? It was the one just to the right of the TV. This takes you to the half bathroom and master suite.

This is the view from the master bedroom door, looking into the half bathroom. I painted the bathroom the same color of red as the dining room. You can see part of the front door there through the arched doorway.

This room was hard to photograph. First, the red didn't come out true to color because of the flash. Without the flash it just looked terrible. My sister Cynthia found those great pieces of art to put in there. I'm still looking for something else to put on the wall opposite the toilet. The cabinet in there is massive. It's actually the same exact cabinet that is over every toilet in the house. I didn't realize they would make one as big for this tiny bathroom. Oh well. Right now it holds the dozens of rolls of toilet paper we get from Sam's!

I love the pedestal sink they put in here. I didn't pick it out, but I am very happy with what they put in here!

I did pick out the mirror. Found it 50% off at Hobby Lobby and it looks great. Going green story...we put all CFL bulbs in our house. We had them in here, but quickly decided to put the old style, energy sucking bulbs in there. Why you might ask? Well, if you don't already know, CFL bulbs take several seconds to "heat up." They start out really dim and warm up to full brightness. Well, that's not too bad in other rooms, but in here it didn't quite work as well. You see, by the time your done doing your business in here, the lights are just working themselves up to full brightness. Then its time to turn them off. Make sense? So, the red bathroom isn't green.

Standing in the doorway of the bathroom, you can see right into the master bedroom. Just a peek of what is to come...
