A Childhood Obsession...

A little something not moving, packing, cleaning, sorting related...

My youngest has become obsessed with Spiderman. I have no idea where this came from. She has never seen any Spiderman cartoons or the Spiderman movie (neither have we for that matter!). We think it all started when the Christmas catalogs started coming out. She would ask who that was, so we told her. It got to the point that she could find the smallest Spiderman on any page. Then she noticed it at stores. Then she wanted some of her own. You know where this is going, right?!?

First she got a small Spiderman figure and Spidey pajamas, which were made for boys. Doesn't matter, does it? She wore them for two weeks straight. Then Christmas came. Word had gotten out about her new obsession. Santa even heard about it! She got lots of Spiderman things.

A small Spiderman doll
A large Spiderman doll that talks
(which she was afraid of at first)
A Hallmark Spiderman ornament
A Spiderman towel
A Spiderman blanket
Spiderman stickers
A Spiderman phone

She is so happy. It's fun to see her so excited about something. Her daddy is enjoying his little girl liking something not so girly. Rachel is funny about Rebekah's obsession. Rachel is a girl's girl. Everything is princess, dress up, make up, etc. She was even afraid of anything boyish...until now. She says she likes Spiderman too...only because Rebekah does! Until next time...

Spiderman PJ's are FINE for girls!
I'd draw the line at Spiderman undies for her though. ;)
